Old Dogon houses built into the side of the cliff. Some people still live in those houses, though in most places they are quite difficult to get to. While it is not quite visible on this photo, there are very tiny dwellings built into the side of the cliff about half way up. Pygmies used to live in them hundreds of years ago, using ropes to get in and out of their homes.
