After visiting Sally's village, we went out into the Dogon for two days of hiking. The first day we got a cab to drive us out to the cliff, caled the flez, the center of the Dogon that has villages along the top and bottom of the cliff. We decided to stay at a village at the top of the cliff, Benemata, for the first night, but the cab couldn't drive the whole way because we had to climb down a cliff just to get down to the top of the flez. This shot is from where the cab dropped us off, looking over the top of the flez.
