Who Likes Fish?
Sam and Maddie

Maddie showed a lot of attention to Sam's fish, but Sam got the last bite.

Magic Donut Machine
MagicDonutMachine.JPG

This weekend, we went up to my parents place in the Berkshires to relax. We ended up meeting my old roommate for a lunch and a tour through a few galleries in Lenox, where we saw the Magic Donut Machine. Unfortunately, they were all out of donuts so we didn't get to see how magic they were.

Yesterday we decided to take a walk over to Greenwood Cemetery. I had never been over there and Sam had only driven by, so we took advantage of the mild weather and took a long walk over to Greenwood Heights,, checking otu the changes to our old neighborhood on the way.

Happy New Year

New Years_041.JPG

2007 was a good year. There were no moves, no new jobs. No major changes, just life as normal, which is fine in my book. Here's my rundown of the numbers from the past year.

My Year in Cities

Brooklyn, NY*
Iriving, TX
Tlequepaque, Mexico
Guadalajara, Mexico
Alford, MA*
Danbury, NH
St. Paul, MN
Somerville, MA
Stanfordville, NY
Hamilton, Bermuda
New York, NY*
Manhattan Beach, CA
Joshua Tree National Park, CA
Grand Canyon Village, AZ
Zion National Park, UT
Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
Moab, UT
Pittsburgh, PA

One or more nights spent in each place. Those cities marked with an * were visited multiple times on non-consecutive days. We had ourselves a few great vacations - relaxation in Mexico, an amazing trip to the southwest, a too short stint on the beach in Bermuda. (2006 and 2005)

As for the local scene, I kept track of all the places I went to in NYC. 34 visits to Cafe Charlie (at least that I remembered to record), which is a ton, but not that bad when you consider its literally across the street from the office.

And on the arts scene, I saw 30 movies in the theater and read 26 books, and 12 theater performances.

All in all, a great year.

My New Year's resolution for 2008 is to bike more in the city.
