First, I fell for Google Reader. Then, it was Google Calendar (I love love love having an easy way to keep calendars coordinated with Sam on a regular basis!). And recently, I made the switch to gMail (love the message threads - makes my inbox look soooo much cleaner). At first, I was a bit annoyed that there wasn't a good syncing program between Google Calendar and Outlook, because those Outlook pop-ups are essential for remembering appointments. But then I discovered Bubbles to solve that problem. This way, I still get pop-ups on my desktop, and though I can't tell the reminder to pop back up in 10 minutes, it serves its purpose.
The only thing left I wanted was a way to sync my Google Calendar with my iPod, so that I could take a quick look at my calendar if I was scheduling something when away from a computer. I couldn't get Outlook to easily import my the .cal output from Google Calendar, so I had kind of given up until reading Lifehacker today. My solution was clear - iPodCALsync, which avoids having to sync to Google and goes right to my iPod.
