Yesterday, the heat went off in our apartment for the first time in over a month, so we (and by we I mean Sam at my begging) took the opportunity to try and change the valve on our main radiator to one that will actually be able to shut the radiator off. We've actually had our windows open since the heat went on to try and keep our apartment at a normal temperature since the "thermostat" on our main radiator does nothing. Sadly, Sam was only partially successful at getting the old fixture unscrewed, so we were unable to replace the fixture and we're pretty much resigned to calling a plumber to fix it, but it was still nice to know my husband can do almost any repair around the house!
After a hard battle with the radiator, Sam settled down on the couch, which Paris saw as a perfect opportunity to get comfortable, in amazingly close proximity to Maddie.

As they say in (Northern) MN, well Fargo actually:"Oh, fer cute!"
Sorry the fix didn't fixit. My apt has a strange '80s vintage hot/cold water heat/AC unit that is always too hot or too cold- I have to just grit my teeth and repeat over and over that I'm glad I have climate control and don't live in a cave. Same thing I tell the cats when they write me notes like "Hatz de fud". Doesn't work on me either.
Awwwww! Kitties!
