So Nice When Things Work Out

Next Thursday, my coworkers and I are coordinating going to a Mets game. I'm excited for my first game of the season, and when juggling the dates, it seemed better to see them play the Giants rather than the Diamondbacks the week after, but that meant that I had to reschedule my coop shift. So I went on to the website and checked out the swap shift board, and wrote my own ad since I didn't see any existing ads that would work for me, and voila, within a few hours, three offers, one of which will work out perfect. Amazing what you can do when you have 10,000 members.

An example of things not working out so nicely? This morning I got up at 5:45 this morning so that I could get to swim practice at 6:30. But what was I greeted with when I got to the Y? That the pool was closed for the next TWO hours! Grrr. Apparently someone got a bloody nose in the pool so they needed to clean it. On the bright side, I got into work really early, and since I'm making up hours this week so that I can leave early to head up to Boston on Friday, it means that I don't have to stay late tonight.
