Yesterday, after waking up earlier than intended, we headed out to Brighton Beach to get our beach time in for the long weekend, and for me to take a dip in the open water in preparation for MIMS. Boy was that water icy. But despite it taking about half an hour for me to ease myself in to the water, I did a swim down the beach and back. I really hope that it warms up a bit in the next few weeks, because I definately won't have the luxury of taking as much time on the day of the race.

Heh - I was in almost the same spot on the beach yesterday, but for solely the purpose of being a lazy sunbather.
