The Natural by Bernard Malamud

Saw the movie, heard they changed the ending, wanted to check it out for myself. Pretty good read, but it lacked some bit of emotion for me, which is odd because baseball movies at least are usually overdosing on the emotion. Maybe its assumed that everyone feels that already.
