Last weekend, I abandoned my husband for a night to go down to a spa down on the Jersey shore for my best friend's birthday. There was a lot of wine, junk food and relaxation. And apparently so much girl talk that I lost my voice by Monday morning. As you might imagine, my teleconferences were oh so interesting. Its a good thing that my boss started in the NY office yesterday, so he was able to hear my whispers. Girls weekend rock. And are totally worth laryngitis. Though maybe not quite the hacking cough that is accompanying it.
