Computers Suck

Yesterday, I worked an 11 hour day (I know that for some people this is normal, but for me, its not, so I'm allowed to complain). And that would be fine if it was really doing work the whole time, but the last hour and a half was arguing with my computer, coaxing my files out of the office so that my boss could access them up in Boston. My email hasn't been happing sending emails (though it manages to receive them just fine), and the connection to the FTP site disconnected half way through. Our connection to the San Francisco office seems almost non-existant these days, meaning we're just praying that my computer doesn't crash here since we are unable to backup our files (our external harddrive that is supposed to back things up hasn't worked from day one). At 7:30 when I finally was confident my boss could access everything he needed, I decided cooking wasn't going to happen that night. I called Sam and asked him to meet me at Blue Ribbon, a necessary indulgence during Brooklyn's Restaurant Week. 45 minutes later, we were seated and placing our orders. Definately a way to put me in a good mood. Sadly, today is more of the same, but hopefully a movie will appease me instead.
