Thoughts on Fashion Week

Its now almost over and what have I noticed? Almost absolutely nothing. When I look out of my window, it looks dead over there. And do I see models walking around here? Nope. I saw one woman in really tall heels walking (though more like hobbling) over to the tents. But why anyone would wear those shoes outside of the show I don't know. And I did see a photographer on 40th St. yesterday on my way to the subway. But otherwise, same as every other day.

Gawker linked to my photos of the tranformation and suddenly my site got 1000 visitors. I probably wouldn't have noticed except that I logged into Flickr on Tuesday evening and noticed that a few of my photos had gotten close to 200 views, which for me is rare, so I had to search to figure out why people were suddenly so interesting in my photo stream.

My boss was in the office the other day from San Francisco (and dragged us out until midnight on Monday because he always wants to have fun when he's in town), and he was playing around with my camera. He's a bit obsessed with the view, much like I was the first few days.

Here's what I get to see every day:

Northwest View

Southwest View

Sunset

I linked to your blog through gawker and really like it! You're a good photographer.
