Human Friendly House

IMG_3937.JPG

This weekend, we had our first house guest. And if all goes well, I suppose, TJ may be our last house guest at this place as well. Amazingly, TJ was able to last through the night on our couch, despite being incredibly alergic. Yay for miracle drugs. I forgot to as TJ what drugs he's on so that we can stock up for future visitors.

I was a good healthy woman this weekend and finally signed up for a membership at the Y. Some weightlifting on saturday for my knee as prescribed by my knee doctor a few months ago, and some swimming on Sunday, as prescried by my conscious, knowing that in a bit over 3 months I will be swimming around Manhattan. Sunday swim practices may be up in my old hood, on the Upper West Side, but its worth trekking up there because of Whole! Foods! Now, Fresh Direct is nice and all, but Whole! Foods! gives me the choice of any beautiful vegetables I want when I want it, instead of two to three days later.

Oh, and if you want to see what our new apartment (fingers crossed) looks like, check out Sam's post.

I have an air filter (an Ionic Breeze) and that also seems to have done a nice job helping curb gueests' allergies to my cats.

Thanks for the reminder about the marathon swim -- you're going to do it?! That's awesome! I want to volunteer. I'll look into it.

I'm going to call you soon. I just got my Settlers game in the mail! You two free anytime soon?
