Overheard in the Airport

Last night I took the redeye to NY, where I'll be thru Wednesday. While waiting to board the plane, I was sitting in front of a couple of Indian guys. A white woman wtih an accent started talking to them, and in the course of the conversation, found out that one of the men had just been turned down for asylum from the US government. She then proceeded to get closer to him (i.e. right behind my ear) and say that maybe they could work out an arrangement because she wanted to become an Indian citizen and he wanted to become an American citizen so maybe they could arrange a marriage!!! In the airport waiting area!!!

Apparently she wanted to go to India to be closer to her "spiritual leader" - the Indian guys couldn't quite understand that she was Hindu by choice. For that matter, they didn't seem to really get what she was offering at all. She had to keep repeating it.

The whole scene was hysterical and I had to keep covering my mouth to keep from laughing out loud.
