The Turn of the Screw and The Aspern Papers by Henry James
Started: May 30
Finished: June 29
I've always been a fan of Henry James since reading Washington Squaer in high school, so when I saw a class was reading him this quarter, I picked up a couple used books. I probably won't have time to read much in the next couple weeks, but they should be good for the plane at the very least.
The Aspern Papers was more like the typical Henry James novels I'm used to. Turn of the Screw was not. I liked the former better, but both of them kind of bored me. Not to the extent that I didn't finish them, but the language was a bit over my head. I just wasn't in the mood for the level of concentration it would have required to understand every word.
