The past couple of years, I've participated in the Nike runs in Central Park. Motivated more by the training groups and the nice dri-fit T, I haven't cared much about the bands they have post concert. This year, however, Joan Jett and Fountains of Wayne are playing. Fountains of Wayne have been one of my favorite bands forEVER (yes, since Radiation Vibe hit the radio waves), and the Joan Jett concert I saw at Warsaw was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. This should not even be a contest.
However, the concert run also happens to be the first day of a conference I was hoping to go to in Williamsburg, VA. One that sounds really interesting and could help me make some very good contacts if I don't have a job yet.
I have a feeling that good career moves are going to win out over my desire for good music here, I can just feel it.
