One San Francisco tradition I was not previously aware of was Bay to Breakers, a 12k race run every spring from the SF bay to the ocean at the end of Golden Gate Park. This isn't just any race, though. Sure, some people run it. The majority of the people just walk the course while dressed in crazy costumes and drunk off their asses. Think the Village Halloween Parade but with more alcohol involved. In a way, it reminded me of spring fling from college. Maybe it was the memory of being the only sober one there the year I worked on concert board. Maybe it was the memories of not knowing what to do when its 2pm and not knowing what you were supposed to do with the rest of the day. Regardless, I highly recommend checking it out sometime.

Great pics!!
Oh man. I went to Bay to Breakers last year, but it was the morning after the Stanford grad boat cruise formal which I also attended, and I was hungover AS ALL HELL. I'm fairly certain my friends and I were the *only* sober people there, on account of the fact that we all felt like we were going to vomit if liquor came anywhere near us. Such poor timing. I do recall the chicken kabobs at the finish line park being pretty tastey though.
