Huge fan of High Fidelity and About a Boy, so I hope I enjoy this as much. This book in some ways is quite different from the other Hornby books that I read - the main character is a female, for one, and the whole issue of spirituality lends a kind of sci-fi aspect to part of it. But when you get down to it, the characters are basically the same - a relatively self-centered person trying to become less self-centered. While in his other books, by the end you're routing for the main character, here I didn't feel quite the same. And the ending is ringing in my mind, which I guess is a good thing because I'm thinking about it, but it still seemed to just drop off a bit too suddenly. I'd recommend it, but not as much as his other books.
